Applied Tough Orange Extra Heavy Duty Degreaser
Applied Tough Orange Extra Heavy Duty Degreaser is a water-based liquid cleaner and degreaser formulated with natural citrus solvents. It is designed as a replacement for hydrocarbon solvent-based degreasing systems and removes heavy deposits from washable surfaces.
Tough Orange is designed to remove grease, oil, diesel exhaust stains, dirt, gum and grime. It is suitable for heavy and light vehicle workshops, industrial workshops, mine workshop floors, factory machinery and equipment, and other demanding cleaning applications.
The concentrated formula can be diluted according to the type and severity of soiling, with dilution rates of up to 1:60 for suitable cleaning applications.

Heavy-Duty Degreasing
Tough Orange is designed to break down heavy deposits including grease, oil and diesel-related contamination.
For mining, vehicle and diesel engine degreasing, apply the product as supplied using a low-volume/low-pressure spray or high-volume/high-concentration foaming system. Allow 5–10 minutes contact time, scrub manually where necessary, and rinse with high-pressure water, preferably hot.
The product can be diluted up to 1 part Tough Orange to 60 parts water, depending on the severity of grease and oil deposits.

How to Use Applied Tough Orange
The required dilution depends on the surface, type of contamination and severity of soiling.
- Select the appropriate dilution for the cleaning application.
- Apply the diluted or undiluted product as required.
- Allow the product to remain in contact with the surface for the recommended time.
- Use manual scrubbing or mechanical agitation where required.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water or high-pressure water as appropriate.
For heavy vehicle, diesel engine and mine workshop floor cleaning, contact time is typically 5–10 minutes. Factory machinery and equipment applications typically require 2–3 minutes contact time.
Important Surface Compatibility
High concentrations of Tough Orange can attack painted surfaces and polished aluminium. Do not allow the product to dry on these surfaces.
Before using the product undiluted, test it on a small, inconspicuous area if there is any doubt about surface compatibility.
Certain rubbers may also be affected by the concentrate after prolonged contact.
