The Ultrashield Epoxy Solid Colour Epoxy Floor Kit is a professional-grade, high-performance epoxy flooring system designed for large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial flooring applications. Covering up to 80 square metres, this heavy-duty epoxy kit is ideal for double garages, multi-bay workshops, warehouses, factories, showrooms, schools, and commercial kitchens.
Engineered for durability, chemical resistance, and long-lasting protection, this system delivers a seamless, easy-to-clean, and highly aesthetic finish. Available in a wide range of Ultrashield Epoxy colours, it allows you to achieve a premium solid colour epoxy floor that is both functional and visually striking.
What’s Included in the 80SQM Epoxy Floor Kit
- 2 × 16L Ultrashield Epoxy Resin Kits : Each 16L Kit of UltraShield Epoxy will cover up to 80sqm of your garage area, when applied using a roller. Please note that the coverage may vary depending on the condition and porosity of the surface.
- 2 × Anti-Slip Media Containers (for optional slip resistance upgrade): The epoxy flooring product has the potential to be hazardous and slippery when its wet. We have included two container of fine antislip media that is to be mixed in the final coat in order to make the surface safe to walk on without making it impossible to clean. If you require greater slide resistance, please let us know and we can change the fine antislip media with medium antislip media at no extra charge
Note: This is a two-coat epoxy system and may not be suitable for all concrete conditions. For floors subject to heavy traffic, applying additional coats of epoxy or primer is recommended. If your concrete is porous, we recommend applying an Ultra Primer epoxy primer( Coverage: 5-7 m²/L) first. Its low-viscosity formula promotes excellent substrate penetration and strong mechanical bonding, improving coating performance and durability.
Epoxy Application Accessories Include the Following:
Please note that for a floor more than 50sqm, we strongly recommend a minimum of two people on the job. The accessory packages below include equipment for one person only. For any extra workers, additional twin roller/brush kit will be required.
- One Epoxy Application Twin Roller/ Brush Kit We have partnered with Unipro to create an epoxy application kit. The kit includes two rollers, two brushes, one tray, one heavy-duty frame, and two roller liners. This allows you to apply two coats of epoxy to your floor without having to worry about the required tools. (Painting Extension Pole is not included in the kit and it can be purchased from Bunnings or local hardware stores)
- Two One Litre General Purpose Thinners We recommend adding GP thinner to 100% solid coloured epoxy products. This will lower epoxies viscosity and make the product easier to roll on to the floor. Our recommendation is to apply Ultrashield 100% solids epoxy thinned 10% with Gp thinners. Mix the thinner and epoxy for one minute using the supplied mixing paddle attached to a drill.
- One Pair of Spike Shoes, Spike shoes lets you walk on wet epoxy and fix any missed spots. You can also remove any foreign objects and back-roll the epoxy product to get better results.
- One roll of Tesa, 48mm cloth masking tape The Tesa cloth masking tape is used to cover areas that you don't want epoxy to get on. This will help you get a straight line and a better finish. Do not use masking tape on the skirting boards because there is a chance that the epoxy will bleed through and leave an uneven finish.
- One pair of work gloves to protect your hands while working with epoxy products
- One Unipro Large Mixer. Epoxy flooring products come in two parts. Part A should be mixed first, and then poured into a measuring bucket. Add the appropriate amount of Part B to your Part A, and then mix it by attaching the paddle to a cordless or corded drill (Drill is not included in the kit)

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What areas can the Ultrashield 80SQM Epoxy Floor Kit be used for?
The Ultrashield 100% solids epoxy floor kit is designed for large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial spaces where durability and performance are essential. It is commonly used in double and multi-car garages, automotive workshops, warehouses, factories, commercial kitchens, schools, retail stores, and showrooms. Because it creates a seamless, chemical-resistant, and easy-to-clean surface, it is especially suitable for high-traffic areas that require a professional-grade finish that can withstand heavy use over time.
2. How durable is the Ultrashield epoxy flooring system?
The Ultrashield epoxy flooring system is a heavy-duty, 100% solids coating engineered for long-lasting protection in demanding environments. Once fully cured, it provides excellent resistance to oils, chemicals, stains, and abrasion, making it ideal for both residential garages and industrial floors. When applied correctly over properly prepared concrete, it forms a strong bond that resists peeling, flaking, and general wear. For areas exposed to constant vehicle traffic or heavy machinery, additional coats or a primer can further enhance durability and extend the floor’s lifespan.
3. Is this epoxy floor kit suitable for DIY installation?
Yes, the Ultrashield epoxy floor kit is designed to be DIY-friendly while still meeting professional trade standards. However, successful installation depends heavily on proper surface preparation, including grinding or etching the concrete, removing all dust and contaminants, and ensuring the floor is dry and structurally sound. The application process requires careful mixing and timing, especially for larger areas over 50SQM where two people are recommended for best results. With the included tools and clear application steps, most experienced DIY users can achieve a high-quality finish.
4. Do I need a primer before applying Ultrashield epoxy?
A primer is not always mandatory, but it is highly recommended in many cases to ensure optimal adhesion and performance. If the concrete is porous, old, dusty, or subject to moisture or rising damp, using an epoxy primer such as a low-viscosity moisture-tolerant system will significantly improve bonding strength and reduce the risk of bubbling or delamination. Priming also helps create a more uniform surface, improving both the appearance and longevity of the final epoxy coating.
5. Is the epoxy floor slippery and can it be made anti-slip?
Like most high-gloss epoxy coatings, the Ultrashield system can become slippery when wet if no anti-slip additive is used. To address this, the kit includes optional anti-slip media that can be mixed into the final coat to improve surface grip while still maintaining ease of cleaning. For environments that require higher safety standards, such as workshops or commercial kitchens, different grades of aggregate can be used to achieve higher slip resistance ratings. This allows the finish to be customised depending on whether the priority is safety, aesthetics, or a balance of both.
