Surface Preparation

Crack Repairs

  • Concrete must be a minimum of 21 days old.
  • Clean cracks using a diamond blade, wire brush, or wire wheel.
  • Remove loose concrete, dirt, oil, dust, laitance, and contaminants.
  • Clean prepared cracks using oil-free compressed air or industrial vacuum.
  • Ensure surfaces are clean and dry before application.

Spall Repairs

  • Remove loose, delaminated, and weak concrete.
  • Remove oil, grease, laitance, and contaminants.
  • Mark repair areas clearly.
  • Saw-cut concrete around repair areas to minimum 10mm depth.
  • Cuts should be perpendicular to the surface to avoid feather edging.
  • Prepare surfaces to achieve clean, sound, rough concrete.
  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry before application.

Mixing Instructions

  1. Shake Part A and Part B containers before use.
  2. Pour Part A into a clean mixing bucket.
  3. Add Part B and mix using a drill and paddle mixer for approximately 20 seconds.
  4. Slowly add Aggregate Part C.
  5. Continue mixing until aggregate is fully wetted (approximately 30 seconds).
  6. Mix only the amount that can be used within the working time.

Application Instructions

  • Place mixed material immediately after mixing.
  • Working time is approximately 2–3 minutes at 24°C.
  • Material may be used neat or combined with aggregate depending on repair requirements.
  • Repair mortar should be installed between 10mm and 76mm per lift.
  • After the repair becomes tack-free (approximately 10 minutes), finish flush with the substrate using a diamond grinding disc.

Application Conditions

  • Condition EUCO QWIKstitch material between 16°C and 27°C before use.
  • Application temperature range: -18°C to 43°C.
  • Warmer material or hot concrete will accelerate curing.
  • Cold material or cold conditions will delay curing.
  • Conduct a small test application where jobsite conditions may affect curing.

Important Product Notes

  • Wet substrate or wet aggregate can cause foaming and reduce repair performance.
  • Neat material may discolour when exposed to UV light.
  • Repair mortar thickness should be between 10mm and 76mm per lift.
  • Always refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.
