Recommended Uses

Aqualine MA DIY is recommended for concrete floors with low to medium wear, such as:

• Interior concrete floors
• Stairs
• Basements
• Balconies
• Verandahs
• Other outdoor residential and light commercial areas

Precautions and Limitations

Please read the Data Sheet, Material Safety Data Sheet, and all precautionary labels. Key limitations include:

• Do not apply if rain is threatening.
• Do not apply if relative humidity is above 80% or likely to exceed it shortly after application.
• Concrete must be dry with no more than 3% surface moisture.
• Avoid application in the late afternoon.
• Not suitable for wet rooms (showers, bathrooms) or areas with continuous water exposure.
• Do not apply to repelling surfaces (nano or oil-based coatings).
• Do not mix with other products.
• Removal is mechanical.

Storage

Store in the original 10L bucket between 5-25°C, away from direct sunlight, for up to one year.

Application Temperature

Do not apply below +10°C (object temperature). Ideal temperature is between 15-22°C. Protect from direct sunlight during application to prevent flash curing.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation

Thoroughly clean the area using Stellmann Prep & Maintenance Cleaner or another alkaline-based cleaner with water and a stiff brush to remove all dirt, dust, and unwanted materials. Rinse thoroughly until all foaming stops using a hose or power washer. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying Stellmann AQUALINE MA DIY. Ensure all loose and flaking paint from previous applications is removed. Drying time depends on humidity, air and object temperature, and layer thickness (specified times assume 20°C and 65% relative humidity).

Application Procedure and Equipment

• Theoretical Spreading Rate: 5 - 7 m²/kg. Practical rates vary.
• Method: Rolling, brush, or spray application.

Application - New Surface

• First Layer: Dilute with 20% water. Mix with a power mixer and apply.
• Second Layer: Dilute with 0-5% water and apply. For non-slip options, see below.

Non-Slip Finish

• P3: Add 3% of Stellmann Non-Slip Particles to the base coat.
• P4: Add 4.5% of Stellmann Non-Slip Particles to the base coat.

Renovation

• First Layer: Dilute with 0-5% water. Mix with a power mixer and apply.
• Second Layer: Dilute with 0-5% water and apply. For non-slip options, see above.

A third layer is recommended for higher traffic areas. It is recommended to use Stellmann Paint Rollers by PEKA. Always use a paint tray. Warranty is void when using other untested rollers. Contact us for spray application instructions.

Clean Up

Immediately wash tools thoroughly with water, using soft soap if necessary. Remove dried layers with nitro thinner.

Disposal

DO NOT REUSE CONTAINER. Do NOT pour waste down the drain. Dispose of unwanted paint via special chemical waste collections (like PAINTBACK) or allow to dry on newspaper before domestic waste disposal.

Handling

Avoid ingestion, inhalation, and prolonged skin contact. Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, or using the toilet.

Important Notes

• For bright colours (yellow, orange), an additional layer may be needed for sufficient coverage.
• Do not use for wet rooms or areas with continuous water exposure.
• Removal: mechanical.
• Do not mix with other products.
