Important Considerations
- ⚠️ Not suitable for areas of permanent water immersion
- ⚠️ Not suitable for negative hydrostatic pressure or rising damp applications
- ⚠️ Delay application if rain or inclement weather is imminent
- ⚠️ Must be applied at recommended coverage rates — do not over-dilute or under-apply
- ⚠️ Tongue & groove timber flooring must be over-sheeted with fibre cement or ceramic tile underlay
- ⚠️ Particleboard flooring must be adequately prepared with all contaminants removed
- ⚠️ Install finished covering as soon as possible once membrane has cured to minimise damage risk
- ⚠️ Not suitable as a wearing surface for foot or vehicular traffic

Is SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof compliant with Australian standards?
Yes. SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof complies with AS/NZS 4654:2012 (waterproofing membranes for external above-ground use) and AS 4858:2004 (wet area membranes), making it suitable for use in Australian residential and commercial construction.
How much does one 15L pail cover?
A 15 Litre pail covers approximately 10m² when applied at the minimum dry film thickness of 1.0mm across a minimum of 2 coats (0.75mm wet film thickness per coat).
How many coats do I need to apply?
A minimum of 2 coats is required to achieve the minimum dry film thickness of 1.0mm. For pedestal and paver applications, a minimum dry film thickness of 1.62mm is required.
Can SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof be used in shower recesses?
Yes, it is suitable for wet area applications including shower recesses, provided it is applied correctly at the recommended coverage rates. Note that it is not suitable for areas of permanent water immersion (e.g. swimming pools or water features).
Is SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof UV stable?
Yes. SikaTile 110 Secure Proof is UV stable, making it suitable for exposed external applications such as rooftops and balconies under pedestal and paver systems.
Can I use this product on plywood or plasterboard?
Yes. SikaTile 110 Secure Proof is compatible with structural plywood and plasterboard, as well as concrete, GRC, cement boards (including Scyon), renders, screeds, and AAC. Tongue & groove timber flooring must be over-sheeted with fibre cement or ceramic tile underlay before application.
What is the VOC content of SikaTile®-110 Secure Proof?
The VOC content is 62g/L (tested to ASTM D3960-05). It is a solvent-free, water-based formula, making it a lower-VOC option suitable for indoor use.
How long is the shelf life?
SikaTile 110 Secure Proof has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored unopened in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight. Do not allow the product to freeze.
Can SikaTile 110 Secure Proof be used for rising damp or below-ground waterproofing?
No. This product is not suitable for applications involving negative hydrostatic pressure or rising damp. For those applications, a different Sika product would be required — contact Sika® for guidance.
