Sikafloor 161 is an economic, two part, low viscosity epoxy resin. "Total solid epoxy composition according to the test method Deutsche Bauchemie e.V. (German Association for construction chemicals)"

NOTE: Sikafloor 161 is Sika's Sikafloor 264 System without pigment.

The substrate and uncured floor must be at least 3 °C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the floor finish.

Yes. Sikafloor-161 is specially engineered to be moisture-tolerant and can be safely applied to substrates with elevated moisture levels up to 6% pbw (measured with a Sika-Tramex meter)

How much area does a 17kg Sikafloor-161 kit cover?

A standard 17.09kg kit covers approximately 31 to 49 m² per coat when used as a concrete primer (based on a consumption rate of 0.35 kg to 0.55 kg/m²). Actual coverage depends on concrete porosity, surface profile, and substrate absorption

How long should I wait before overcoating Sikafloor-161?

At a standard application temperature of 20°C:

  • Solvent-Free Topcoats: Wait a minimum of 12 hours (maximum 2 days).
  • Solvent-Based Topcoats: Wait a minimum of 24 hours (maximum 4 days).
