Application Guide

For New Exposed Aggregate Surfaces:

  • Etch the uncoated surface with Nu-EcoSafe Etch or Nu-EcoSafe Ultra Etch.
  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of efflorescence.
  • Apply a diluted first coat of nutech arylic concrete sealer mixed with up to 50% PaveCoat Thinners.
  • Apply a second coat of undiluted nutech arylic concrete sealer.

For Existing Exposed Aggregate:

  • Determine if the existing aggregate has been previously sealed.
  • If the existing sealer is incompatible or requires removal, use Nu-EcoSafe Strip Industrial to strip it completely.
  • If the existing sealer is compatible, reactivate it with Reactivating Solvent.
  • Clean the surface thoroughly with Nu-EcoSafe Degreaser.
  • Etch the uncoated surface with Nu-EcoSafe Etch or Nu-EcoSafe Ultra Etch.
  • Apply two coats of nutech arylic concrete sealer, following the same procedure as for new surfaces.

Colour accuracy disclaimer: We have taken care to display the most accurate visuals of our products. However, we are not responsible for the colour accuracy of the device you are viewing our swatches on. These variations arise due to different computer monitors and devices (make, model and technology, as well as resolution, contrast and brightness control settings) in much the same way a scan will differ from an original image and a colour photocopy. Furthermore, coatings can exhibit variation in perceived colour depending on gloss level and application method. If you require a very specific colour match, please make your selection via actual swatches and colour boards available at our showroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to thin Agreseal for the first coat?

Thinning depends on surface porosity:

  • Dense / Non-Porous Surfaces: Thin the first coat up to 50% with Pavecoat Thinners to ensure proper penetration.
  • Porous Surfaces: Apply the first coat unthinned.
  • Second Coat: Always apply the second coat without solvent dilution.
Can I pick up Agreseal from your warehouse?

Yes, pickup is available! While we don't hold all stock at our main warehouse, we can arrange direct pickup from Nutech’s state distribution warehouses:

  • VIC: Seaford (Melbourne)
  • NSW: Rydalmere (Sydney)

Simply leave a note at checkout specifying which warehouse location you'd like to collect from, and our team will follow up shortly with stock availability and pickup instructions.

How long must new exposed aggregate cure before applying Agreseal?

Allow new concrete surfaces to cure for a minimum of 7 days prior to sealing.

What should I do if white efflorescence (salt powder) is present before sealing?

Broom over the affected dry surface with clean Pavecoat Thinners to dissolve and dissipate all salts before applying Agreseal.

What coverage can I expect from a 20L drum?

Coverage is 3 to 5 m² per litre per coat, meaning a 20L drum covers approximately 60 to 100 m² for a single coat (or 30 to 50 m² for the required 2-coat system, depending on surface porosity).
