Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

  • Concrete or screed substrate must have a minimum strength of 25 N/mm²
  • Surface must be free from laitance, dust, and contamination
  • Substrate should be dry to 75% RH according to ASTM F2170 (AS1884:2012)
  • Surface preparation should be completed by enclosed light shot blasting or diamond grinding to minimum CSP3
  • Remove all cementitious laitance to expose a sound, dry, dust-free open textured surface
  • Prepare edges and difficult areas using suitable hand-held preparation equipment

Priming

  • Use Flowprime AU as the primer system before applying Flowtex F1 Mortar
  • Refer to Flowprime AU Product Datasheet for complete information

Mixing Instructions

  1. Stir Base A to redistribute any settlement.
  2. Decant required Base A quantity into a clean container using digital scales.
  3. Add Hardener B and mix using a slow-speed drill with helical spinner head for 60 seconds.
  4. Add Filler C.
  5. Mix using a heavy-duty slow-speed drill or forced action mixer until uniform.
  6. Do not add solvent to Flowtex F1 Mortar.

Application Method

  • Apply immediately after mixing.
  • Place onto wet/tacky primer or dry seeded primer.
  • Spread evenly to achieve required finish.
  • Finish using a steel-bladed trowel.
