Concrete Sealer for Driveways – Important Application Notes

For the best results, the concrete must be clean, dry and suitably porous before applying PaveCoat. Remove dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants, and follow Nutech's concrete preparation and application instructions.

PaveCoat is not suitable for application over standard enamel or epoxy floor coatings, or unknown existing sealers. It can be applied over compatible existing PaveCoat surfaces when correctly prepared.

Apply two even coats, following the recommended thinning instructions for the first coat and allowing at least 2 hours between coats under the specified conditions. Do not apply outside the recommended temperature range or when rain is likely within 12 hours.

Important: Allow 7 days for full curing before driving or parking vehicles on the sealed surface.

For added slip resistance, Nutech AntiSlip Mix-In can be incorporated into the final coat to achieve the specified P2 or P3 rating under the applicable testing standards. For steep driveways and inclines, a different coating system may be required.

Always refer to the current Nutech PaveCoat Technical Data Sheet and Application Guide before use.

Not for Enamel Paint: PaveCoat is not suitable as an overcoat for standard enamel floor finishes.

Steep Incline Limits: Not recommended on steep slopes (gradients over 1 in 14 or >5° incline); steep areas require EPiC PolyCryl or EPiC Epoxy 500 with cast-on anti-slip to meet P5/R12 ratings.

Weather & Dew Risks: Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours, or in early morning/late afternoon, as ambient moisture causes surface clouding and coating failure.

Do Not Etch Soft Concrete: Powdery or soft concrete surfaces must never be acid-etched, as this will permanently damage the substrate.

7-Day Vehicle Curing: Vehicles must strictly not be parked on the sealed surface for at least 7 days after application.

Manufacturer Liability: Nutech’s warranty is limited solely to product replacement or credit, excluding consequential damages or labor costs.
