Alka 251 is an advanced, top-quality, two-part water-based acrylic crosslinking emulsion designed to enhance and protect concrete surfaces. Unlike traditional sealers, it provides superior durability, UV resistance, and wear resistance. How to Apply ALKA 251 Polyurethane Sealer

Before the application, make sure that the substrate is free from dust, surface water, and surface contaminants such as oil, grease, fats, chemicals, rust, paints, curing membranes, etc. All loose materials and surface laitance must be removed. For larger areas, shot blasting, high-pressure water blasting, or scabbling is recommended. On small areas, needle gunning or bush hammering can be effective. The tensile strength of the substrate must be a minimum of 1.5MPa. Pre-wetting the substrate is not necessary except on very absorbent substrates and/or when exposure to intense sunlight is probable. There should be no visible or standing water.

Instructions:

• Mix Component A and B with a paddle mixer for 1 min at 1 m/s.
• Use an 8-10mm nap roller for best results.
• For optimal effect, apply two coats.
• Avoid applying the coating too thickly as it may result in a milky appearance, while applying coats too thinly may show roller marks.
• Do not apply if rain is expected soon.
• Allow the coating to fully cure before performing any cutting; a minimum of 5-7 days is recommended.

After application and for the cleaning process, water can be used for cleaning tools and equipment before the mixed compound begins to harden. Once cured, it must be removed mechanically.
