Alka 202 – 2 Part Solvent Based Clear Aliphatic Polyurethane Topcoat
Looking for a clear, high-gloss, and durable polyurethane topcoat? Alka 202 is a two-component, non-yellowing, solvent-based aliphatic polyurethane with excellent gloss retention and UV resistance. It provides long-lasting protection for decorative floors, epoxy coatings, machinery, and industrial surfaces.
Where It Could Be Used:
- Topcoat for interior and exterior decorative finishes, such as flake flooring and epoxy partial flakes systems.
- Clear topcoat for all epoxy self-levelling and epoxy coating systems.
- Clear self-prime coating for exposed aggregates and polished concrete.

How to Apply:
Before the application, ensure that the substrate is free from dust, surface water, and contaminants such as oil, grease, fats, chemicals, rust, and curing membranes. All loose materials and surface laitance must be removed.
- For larger areas: Shot blasting, high-pressure water blasting, or scabbling is recommended.
- For smaller areas: Needle gunning or bush hammering can be effective.
- The tensile strength of the substrate must be at least 1.5 MPa.
- Pre-wetting the substrate is not necessary except on very absorbent substrates or when exposed to intense sunlight. There should be no visible or standing water.
- Shake Component A briefly and pour it into Component B. Mix for at least 3 minutes with an electric stirrer.
- Apply by brush, roller, or spray.
- Please bear in mind that Alka 202 and all polyurethanes and polyaspartic products has their own special solvent and normal Xylene must not be used as a thinner
- For cleaning tools and equipment, use Xylene before the mixed compound hardens. Once cured, it must be removed mechanically.
